In order to make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so‑called cookies on various pages. These are small text files placed on your device. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a predefined period, which may differ depending on the cookie.

Some cookies are used, for example, by saving settings to simplify the ordering process (e.g. remembering the contents of a virtual shopping cart for a later visit). If individual cookies implemented by us also process personal data, this processing is carried out either for the purpose of performing the contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR or, in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, for safeguarding our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website and a customer‑friendly and effective design of the site visit.

We may collaborate with advertising partners who help make our online offer more interesting for you. For this purpose, cookies from partner companies are also stored on your hard drive in these cases (third‑party cookies) when you visit our website. If we work with the aforementioned advertising partners, we will inform you individually and separately about the use of such cookies and the scope of the respective information collected in the following paragraphs.

In accordance with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, personal data are also collected and processed when you provide them to us for the performance of a contract or when opening a customer account. Which data is collected is evident from the respective input forms. Deletion of your customer account is possible at any time and can be effected by sending a message to the aforementioned address of the controller. We store and use the data you have provided for the purposes of contract processing. After complete fulfillment of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data are blocked (i.e. access restricted) with regard to statutory retention periods under commercial and tax law and deleted after these periods have expired, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we have reserved the right to use the data further in a manner permitted by law, about which we will inform you below.

6) USE OF YOUR DATA FOR DIRECT MARKETING

If you sign up for our email newsletter, we will regularly send you information about our offers. The only required information for sending the newsletter is your email address. Any additional data you provide are voluntary and will be used to address you personally. For sending the newsletter we use the so‑called double opt‑in procedure. This means we will only send you an email newsletter once you have expressly confirmed that you want to receive the newsletter. We then send a confirmation email, asking you to click a link to confirm that you want to receive newsletters in the future.

By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent for the use of your personal data in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. When registering for the newsletter we store the IP address provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration, in order to be able to track possible misuse of your email address at a later date. If you initially objected to using your email address for this purpose, we will not send you such emails. You are entitled to object to the use of your email address for the aforementioned advertising purpose at any time with effect for the future by sending a message to the controller named above. PayPal reserves the right, for payment methods such as credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or—if offered—“purchase on account” or “installment payment”, to carry out a credit check. For this purpose, your payment data may, according to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of PayPal’s legitimate interest in determining your creditworthiness, be provided to credit agencies. The result of the credit check with regard to the statistical probability of payment default is used by PayPal to decide on the provision of the respective payment method. The credit reference may include probability values (so‑called score values). If score values are involved, they are based on a scientifically recognized mathematical‑statistical procedure. In calculating the score values, among other things but not exclusively, address data are used. Further data protection information, including on the credit agencies used, can be found in PayPal’s privacy policy: https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full

You may object to this processing of your data at any time by contacting PayPal. However, PayPal may still be entitled to continue processing your personal data if this is necessary for contractual payment processing.

10) ONLINE MARKETING

10.1 DoubleClick by Google

This website uses the online marketing tool DoubleClick by Google, operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("DoubleClick").

DoubleClick uses cookies to display relevant ads to users, improve campaign performance reports, or prevent a user from seeing the same ads multiple times. Google uses a cookie ID to record which ads are shown in which browser and can thus prevent them from being displayed more than once. Processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our website according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Additionally, DoubleClick can use cookie IDs to track conversions related to ad requests – for example, if a user views a DoubleClick ad and later visits the advertiser's website using the same browser and makes a purchase. According to Google, DoubleClick cookies do not contain personal information.

Due to the use of this marketing tool, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google’s servers. We have no influence over the extent and further use of the data collected by Google through this tool and therefore inform you according to our level of knowledge: by integrating DoubleClick, Google receives the information that you have accessed the relevant part of our website or clicked on an ad from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can associate the visit with your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or not logged in, there is a possibility that Google will learn and store your IP address.

If you wish to object to participation in this tracking process, you can disable cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain www.googleadservices.com. You can also disable it via Google's settings: https://www.google.de/settings/ads, although this setting will be removed if you delete your cookies. Alternatively, you can get more information about cookie placement and opt-out settings at the Digital Advertising Alliance website: www.aboutads.info. Finally, you can configure your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow them only in individual cases or generally exclude their acceptance. If you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.

Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the US-European data protection agreement "Privacy Shield", which ensures compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU.

Further information on the data protection provisions of DoubleClick by Google can be found here:

10.2 Use of Google AdWords Conversion Tracking

This website uses the online advertising program "Google AdWords" and, within Google AdWords, the conversion tracking function of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). We use Google AdWords to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites through advertising media (so-called Google Adwords). In relation to the data from the advertising campaigns, we can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are. Our aim is to show you advertisements that are of interest to you, to make our website more interesting for you, and to achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs.

The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on a Google AdWords ad. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer system. These cookies generally expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Thus, cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified.

If you do not want to participate in the tracking, you can block this usage by disabling the Google Conversion Tracking cookie via your internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. We use Google AdWords based on our legitimate interest in targeted advertising in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the US-European data protection agreement "Privacy Shield", which ensures compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU.

Further information on Google's data protection provisions can be found here:
https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/

You can permanently deactivate cookies for advertising preferences by preventing them through an appropriate browser setting or by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link:
https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=en

Please note that certain functions of this website may not be fully usable if you have deactivated the use of cookies.

11) WEB ANALYTICS SERVICES

Google (Universal) Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your truncated IP address) is generally transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the USA.

This website uses Google Analytics exclusively with the extension "_anonymizeIp()", which ensures anonymization of the IP address by truncation and excludes any direct personal reference. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. In these exceptional cases, processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behavior for optimization and marketing purposes.

Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services relating to website and internet usage to us. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) from being sent to and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link:

Alternatively, to the browser plugin or within browsers on mobile devices, click the following link to set an opt-out cookie. This opt-out cookie will prevent future data collection by Google Analytics within this website (this opt-out cookie only works in this browser and only for this domain. If you delete your cookies in this browser, you will have to click this link again):
👉 Disable Google Analytics

Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the US-European Data Protection Agreement "Privacy Shield", which ensures compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU.

This website also uses Google Analytics for a cross-device analysis of visitor flows carried out via a user ID. When a page is accessed for the first time, the user is assigned a unique, persistent, and anonymized ID that is set across devices. This allows interaction data from different devices and sessions to be linked to a single user. The user ID does not contain any personal data and does not transmit any to Google.

You can object to the data collection and storage via the user ID at any time with effect for the future. To do so, you must deactivate Google Analytics on all systems you use, for example, in another browser or on your mobile device.
You can perform the deactivation using the browser plugin from Google:

Further information on Universal Analytics can be found here:

12) RETARGETING / REMARKETING / RECOMMENDATION ADVERTISING

Facebook Custom Audiences via Pixel Method

This website uses the “Facebook Pixel” of Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA (“Facebook”). With explicit consent, this allows the behavior of users to be tracked after they have seen or clicked a Facebook advertisement. This process serves to evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes and can help optimize future advertising efforts.

The data collected is anonymous to us, so it does not allow us to draw conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook may use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with Facebook's Data Usage Policy:

You can allow Facebook and its partners to serve ads on and outside Facebook. A cookie may also be stored on your computer for these purposes. These processing operations only occur if you have given your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Consent to use the Facebook Pixel may only be given by users over 13 years of age. If you are younger, we ask that you request permission from your legal guardian.

Facebook Inc., based in the USA, is certified under the US-European data protection agreement "Privacy Shield", which ensures compliance with EU data protection standards.

To disable the use of cookies on your computer, you can configure your Internet browser to no longer accept cookies or to delete previously stored cookies. However, disabling all cookies may result in limited functionality on our websites. You can also deactivate cookies from third-party providers such as Facebook on the following Digital Advertising Alliance website:

Google AdWords Remarketing

Our website uses the Google AdWords Remarketing function to advertise this website in Google search results and on third-party websites. The provider is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).

For this purpose, Google sets a cookie in your device’s browser that enables interest-based advertising based on the pages you visit. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in optimal marketing of our website according to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Any further data processing will only occur if you have agreed with Google that your web and app browsing history is linked to your Google Account and that information from your Google Account is used to personalize ads you see on the web. 13) RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT

13.1

Applicable data protection law grants you comprehensive rights regarding the processing of your personal data by the controller (rights to access and intervention), which we inform you of below:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR):
You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process about you, the purposes of processing, the categories of personal data processed, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the intended storage period or the criteria used to determine that period, the existence of the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, the source of your data if it was not collected from you by us, the existence of automated decision-making including profiling, and—if applicable—meaningful information about the logic involved as well as the significance and intended consequences of such processing, and your right to be informed of what safeguards exist under Art. 46 GDPR if your data is transferred to third countries.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR):
You have the right to have any inaccurate data corrected without delay and/or to have your incomplete data stored by us completed.
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR):
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data where one of the grounds listed in Art. 17(1) GDPR applies. This right does not apply, however, if the processing is required to exercise the right of freedom of expression and information, to comply with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR):
You have the right to request the restriction of processing of your personal data if the accuracy of your data is contested by you, the processing is unlawful but you oppose the deletion, we no longer need the data but you require it for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, or you have objected to processing pending the verification of whether our legitimate grounds override yours.
  • Right to be informed (Art. 19 GDPR):
If you have asserted the right to rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing to the controller, the controller is obligated to notify all recipients to whom the personal data has been disclosed of this rectification or erasure or restriction, unless this proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort. You also have the right to be informed about those recipients.
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR):

Upon withdrawal, we will delete the data concerned without delay, unless further processing can be based on a legal basis for processing without consent. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
  • Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77 GDPR):
If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR, you have the right—without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy—to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.

13.2 RIGHT TO OBJECT

IF WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA ON THE BASIS OF OUR LEGITIMATE INTERESTS IN THE CONTEXT OF A BALANCING OF INTERESTS,
YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THIS PROCESSING AT ANY TIME ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION,
WITH EFFECT FOR THE FUTURE.

IF YOU EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO OBJECT, WE WILL STOP PROCESSING THE DATA CONCERNED.
HOWEVER, FURTHER PROCESSING MAY BE RETAINED IF WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING
WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS, AND FREEDOMS, OR IF THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE, OR DEFENSE OF LEGAL CLAIMS.

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED BY US FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING,
YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO SUCH PROCESSING AT ANY TIME.
YOU MAY EXERCISE THIS RIGHT AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.

IF YOU OBJECT TO PROCESSING FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, WE WILL STOP PROCESSING YOUR DATA FOR SUCH PURPOSES.

14) DURATION OF STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA

The duration of the storage of personal data is based on the respective statutory retention period (e.g., commercial and tax-related retention periods). After the expiration of the period, the corresponding data will be routinely deleted, provided they are no longer necessary for the fulfillment or initiation of a contract and/or there is no longer a legitimate interest on our part in further storage.
